Dr. Howard

Dr. Howard is a 1968 graduate of Washington State University Veterinary School. He has practiced in Salem, Oregon since 1970. In 1976 he and his wife Joan constructed Twin Oaks Veterinary Hospital. The practice at that time was and continues to be horses, dogs and cats. In 1996 Dr. Howards’ daughter’s dog “Peaches” a golden retriever, was diagnosed with severe hip dysplasia and it appeared that hip replacement surgery was all that was available. It was at that time he was introduced to Veterinary Acupuncture. “Peaches” responded very well to acupuncture and was able to avoid surgery. In 1997 Dr. Howard was certified by International Veterinary Acupuncture Society (IVAS). His practice now is Western Medicine and Complimentary (Eastern) to include Herbal as well.
